As much as I’m still in denial, it’s about time I accepted that Christmas is well on its way. Whilst I haven’t yet made a single purchase I best get onto it as in  the salon our treatment columns are starting to fill with those of you who are super organised and appreciate how busy we get!

We do thankfully have some more organised team members amongst us who have already started to get together some amazing Christmas Gift sets and have planned the shop window which I hope that you will love. For those of you struggling to make it into the salon, our online shop will have everything you need to make this Christmas great including all of the products which we use in store as well as our ever popular Gift Vouchers.

If you have visited us recently, you may have seen some new faces around the salon that you do not recognise! We are excited to introduce two new front of house team members – Sharon and Jo – meaning that our reception is now fully covered during our opening hours. I’m sure that you’ll agree, they are a very welcome addition and it’s been great welcoming them to team Bay.

We also have two new therapists – Hollie and Emily joining us. Hollies skill with nails is truly amazing and Emily’s previous experience on a well known brow bar has got people requesting her already! Pop in to come and meet them – there’s now even more friendly faces awaiting your arrival X

The fourth Scratch Stars Awards and most glamorous night in the nail industry calendar took place on 7th June, at the world famous Café de Paris.

The spectacular event, hosted by TV Personality Gethin Jones, saw over 300 guests celebrate the biggest and best nail brands, technicians and training academies in the UK.

The Scratch Stars is the only awards party dedicated solely to this fabulous industry and a Scratch Star is a sign of sheer excellence and prowess, which can set talent apart from competitors and boost profiles.

The level of skill shown at this year’s Scratch Stars Awards was absolutely outstanding, and picking the final winners was a real challenge for our judges. We would like to thank all of the finalists for entering and getting involved with such passion and determination!

The winner of this year’s “Nail Salon of the Year: Salon Environment” sponsored by Izabelle Hammon Ltd and “Retail Salon of the Year” sponsored by Sweet Squared was “Beauty At The Bay” who displayed incredible talent throughout the judging process of the awards and will, with no doubt carry on with their success.
